Location
Potamia is one of the most famous villages of the island. It is built at the foot of Ypsario mountain, it has a beautiful natural landscape and dense diverse vegetation. You can enjoy the route through nature to the top of the mountain following the path that starts from Potamia. Visit the museum of Polygnotos Vagi, a well-known sculptor who hails from the village.
Three kilometers from Potamia is Skala Potamia, which is the port beach of Potamia. It is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island with fine golden sand and clear blue waters. It combines the sea with the green as the trees in many places reach the sandy beach. The coast of Skala Potamia and Chrysis Ammoudia stretches for three kilometers with clear and shallow waters safe for children of all ages. The beach is well organized with sunbeds and umbrellas for rent at a low cost.
